If you have the money buy it
I would like to say after about a week of owning these I prefer these over the Logitech g35. I had the g35 for about 6 months and one little twist in the wire and the whole headset stops working but the cord on the Megalodon seems much better. So I bought these to replace them. The g35 has a little bit better sound while gaming but not by much. In turn the Megalodon sounds better while listening to music. Also it is much lighter then the G35. Also you get a pretty cool case with the megalodon. I find the Megalodon overall better then the g35. I haven't had one issue so far with it either.

I should have listened to the review above mine
I spent four days going back and fourth with razersupport, bottom line the headset does not work it eats up to much bandwith. Has something to do with Windows 7 if you are using it be careful.

best I have ever had
I have had several expensive head sets but these are the best hands down. awesome clarity even at max volume. Playing left 4 dead 2 is great because you hear things sneaking or charging up on you from the direction they are coming. they came with a awesome carrying case to protect them and they are a very sturdy design even the mic is pretty solid and stays where you put it. The cord is strong and cat proof... well at least until the cat gets older. There is a firmware update for it that fixes one little bug with the mic but other than that I have had no issues with it.

Windows 7 & Vista 64bit users BEWARE!
Awesome headset when it works. This headset has been problematic for me from the get go; running Windows 7 Pro 64bit - first the mic was muting intermittently; sometimes quite often, sometimes not so often. Then after a firmware update released by Razer for this issue on Windows 7 & Vista, now the audio & mic cut out. I exchanged my headset, but had the same issue on the new one. Waiting on a response from Razer support now. If they can't release good updated Windows 7 & Vista 64bit drivers in the next week, I'm returning and looking for a different model all together. Even tried running on a POWERED USB hub to no avail. Windows 7 & Vista users beware! Make sure they've resolved this issue before you purchase this headset - it's an ongoing issue dating back to early summer of 2009 (check technet forums).

Best Headset Out There!
I ordered the headset on a tuesday evening around 7:00 PM local time (so about 9:00 PM in chicago where they are based) and ordered with 2 day shipping, expecting it to go out on wednesday and get here friday, but to my suprise, it was on my doorstep on thursday morning! Anyways, about the headset: The sound quality is amazing. I've had the headset for about a month now and the microphone is crystal clear. The ear cushions are kind of magnetic to fuzz and hair, but it doesnt bother me much. it's comfortable and everything is adjustable. when in 7.1 you can adjust the volume of each channel, and i love messing with the bass. especially when switching between game and music. the default bass setting is a little weak, so i suggest turning it up. but i give this product a flawless 5 stars!
