Don't waste your return shipping cost !
This netgear is terrible. Too slow, not true DLNA, WiDi was what I bought it for and it was so slow, lagging, we LOL . Asus O!Play is much better. Even the Boxee Box. You get what you pay for. Pay the extra money and get the faster units and true DLNA. NEO NTV300SL would only browse the Windows Media folders not the NAS box folders. Very disappointed.

Terrible coming from Netgear
I purchased this thinking it would be great because it is Netgear and I use all Netgear routers with no issues. This product is slow, unresponsive, laggy, even with netflix. Streams are choppy at best. I hate Apple products but for 109.00$ about a 30$ investment over this product is well worth it. You can physically feel the weight difference and build quality different. My apple tv has not given me a single issue and is very responsive and streams fantastic with no issues. If I were Netgear, I would be ashamed of this product. I still remain a Netgear fan but this product was far too underdeveloped to have been put out for consumer purchase.

Works ok, a little slow between functions
Streams netflix fine although it takes it longer than a normal PC to connect. WiDi works but I wish I didn't have to select it but rather that it could sense my laptop connecting and just go to it automatically. Or at the very least have a dedicated button for it. Overall not bad.

For the price AMAZING!
I have one of these and also a Roku HD. I definately prefer this over the Roku (although the Roku functions well). The single factor being the access to YouTube you get with the NeoTV, which you don't get with Roku. The massive amount of content (shows, movies, documentaries, music)on YouTube outweighs all the other channels combined. It all works off my internet (besides a $9.00 Netflix monthly bill and a cheap set of rabbit ears to get local TV, which by the way, has much better clarity than getting the local signals off of cable or dish because the over the air signal in HD is not compressed!).I get by very cheap and really don't miss cable or dish anymore. Most of the other functions and channels I honestly don't use. Set up is as simple as it could be and the streaming is close to flawless.
