Great chip. Acer Aspire x1430 is a Socket: FT1
To the reviewer below: This will not work in an Acer Aspire x1430. Unfortunately your 450 is the fastest chip available for the E series of APU. This chip requires an AM3+ socket. I have this chip in my PC and it is beyond awesome. Does everything.

Excellent value
Like other reviewers have said, this CPU is a great bang for the buck. I could have easily spent twice or three times as much for a faster Intel but for my purposes this screamer is PLENTY fast enough for my work. I bought this CPU for one reason only - a digital audio workstation in a small studio. I can use several VSTs and numerous simultaneous effects, all in real time, all in sync with other MIDI instruments and multi-track audio with horsepower to spare. If I were building a monster speed demon for compiling source code I'd go with an Intel but you just can't beat the price for such fantastic performance with very high thread count applications (like Sonar X2).

Amazing
I don't think you can do better for the price. An Intel isn't worth the little bit of extra performance for the whole bunch more cash. If you just have money to burn, buy one of these anyway and send the extra sum of money you saved to someone who really needs it.
