Great Buy and Square Trade is great!

I had a G74Sx and it had problems I had already read about before purchasing it. Finally the screen went black and I sent it to Square Trade. They were unable to repair it and within 3 weeks they had refunded me 100% of my purchase price and the cost of the warranty price. I used the money to purchase this G75 which happened to be on sale for the same price as I had paid for my G74. The G75V so far has been a dream machine. All of the problems that the G74 had, were fixed in the G75 and with the more powerful processor and new graphics card at the same price, I was almost glad the other one failed. My only gripe is that the cover for the memory and HDD's is much flimsier and harder to remove than on the G74. When I need to remove this cover, I'm always afraid I'm going to break a clip off.

Had to RMA 3 Times

The second and third time were for the same reason. They must not have give it a QA test. The company is giving me the run around about solving the issue. I would not recommend buying from a company that doesn't support their customers. The laptop worked great for a while.

Excelent Machine

I had a G53J for the last 2 years , is a wonderful laptop , I play everything, I installed a second HDD , upgraded to 16 in RAM , now I'm tying to install a Solid State HDD, , ASUS had a excellent warranty , my power plug broke and I send it to ASUS , i wait for 48 Hrs before call to see were is my laptop , and it's at my house the kids don't tell me FedEx delivered earlier at home. the best machine i ever had

A Great machine.

I got this laptop when it was on sale. It took some time to get to me because I am currently in Afghanistan. When it got to here I was blown away at how it performed with everything that I threw at it. I think that the Hard Drive is a little slow but works great. I even added a second Hard Drive (until I buy a SSD) now I how more drive space. I dont like Windows 8 but I am warming up to it for the most part. But all and all this is a great laptop for the price.

Great Laptop

Every bit as good as an Alien, without the price tag. Great cooling. Fast computer and very nice video card. Cons: audio output on side, why? Can't stand Win8, converted to 7.

asus is the problem

no matter which system you buy, it may work and may not. The warranty 1,2,3 years or whatever is amazing, but the systems are always breaking down and months for warranty send back, repairs, then sending back. My laptop I have had down more than up, forgot it's even around. DO NOT buy Asus if you use your laptop alot, it's really a much better paperweight

Great Laptop

This is an exceptional laptop. It runs extremely fast, starts up in seconds, and handles multi-tasking like a boss. I have nothing bad to say about it. Windows 8 isn't as bad as people make it sound, especially considering there are apps to teach you how to correctly use it. And as far as the sound goes, there are ways to customize the settings on the sound to make it clearer. This laptop is great, it just takes a little time and research to get it running well. Once it is tuned to your liking, this thing is amazing. Never before have I used anything even remotely as spectacular as this laptop.

Don't buy an ASUS product

I bought an ASUS tablet for my wife. Sat wrapped for several weeks. Would not turn on. Sent back for repair. Took a very long time. Worked for several weeks. Same problem. Contacted them and they said it was out of warranty - even though it was the same problem. I have a dead tablet that worked a few times. I even had an email that said they would fix it. DON'T DO IT!

Great Laptop

The laptop is extremely fast and the window experience is the same as my Black Pearl Gaming machine. The first one I received was DOA, but returned and got a new one that has been flawless. I am amazed I can log in within 2 seconds and my computer is running in less than 15 seconds. Played BoarderLands 2 sitting in bed. Great fun and Good quality.
