Jumping Curser
Before you buy an Asus review the problems they have with a jumping cursers; not sure if mine was a lemon or they truly have a problem. The cursor shifts positions as you type! extremely annoying and the tech support resolution was to disable the touch pad while typing!!!!!

Not good, not bad
Battery life is a bit short and the wireless adapter seems to disconnect from time to time. There used to be BSODs but maybe that had to do with the OS instead, and after a few updates, I stopped having that problem. Other than that, note that Microsoft Word 2007 isn't fully compatible with Windows 8. It also freezes (spike lag) when playing high-tier games, such as Starcraft II

Good for graphics work
I use this computer for doing multimedia work, mostly 2d and 3d graphics. Only had it for about a month, but here are my initial thoughts PROS The computer works great. I haven't done a ton of stress testing, but this computer seems to be kicking my other computers' bottoms in performance. It's got a big screen but doesn't seem to lag. And it runs really cool. Most laptops I've ever used get crazy hot and dry you out if used for too long. This one does not. Wouldn't have thought about it, but really makes working more comfortable. Incredible value if look at the specs CONS The OS takes some getting used to, and also rendered my former stylus useless. Also, it is too big to fit in my backpack... Although for me it is a happy trade off for the big screen

Mixed
I do a lot of data-work, and the computer is not nearly as I'd hoped. Further, its internal wireless router just randomly turns off for no apparent reason, and doesn't come back on until you reset. My first new computer in three years, and while I like much about it, I was hoping for more.

Good Buy
I wanted a laptop to replace my desktop. This computer has everything I need. Fast, storage is adequate, multitasks well. I have to get used to Windows 8, not the computers fault. Touchpad is like all the rest, drifts, and is too sensitive, I will use a mouse. I am well pleased
