I live my new computer. Win 8 takes some getting used to. Wish the mouse had a scroll feature.

Great, except for the uber sensitive mouse pad
The speed and performance are great, battery works very well, Windows 8, I hate but will learn. I found a shell program that makes it work comparable to Windows 7. BUT - the mouse pad drives me crazy. It's larger than normal and extremely sensitive. It has caused me to spew out many naughty words on numerous occasions. I covered it with a thick piece of paper and that didn't help, it took 3 pieces before it would stop jumping everywhere. The only other complaint I have is the 10 key pad. It's extremely narrow so I hit the wrong keys all the time. I imagine I will get used to it, eventually. Otherwise, I do like it. Video is good, speed is great, and the price was just right. I don't game, but video streaming is very smooth so I don't anticipate any problems in that area.

Ok for the most part
Sure it is fast, but the touch pad is to sensitive, when your typing it goes into another screen if your finger touches it by mistake. The wireless is to weak in signal strength reception, the old laptop did find. Had to get a range extender to make it work. Hard to go between the standard web browser and the windows 8 type.

Not happy with the OS
I made the unfortunate & reckless decision to buy this laptop loaded with Win 8. It is a user interface nightmare. After 2 weeks messing with it trying to load in and customize my preferred programs and websites I'm still using my old laptop (Win Pro) to do my day to day tasks. In fairness to ASUS the laptop looks to be an excellent piece of hardware but it's difficult to tell when burdened by such an awkward OS.

Great Laptop
No problems at all other than I would have preferred Windows 7 OS. Oh well, great laptop and ASUS is always a good product. Love the feel of the keyboard...
