Nice laptop
I was going to get an ultrabook but would have missed not having a DVD drive. Happy with all the hardware. The screen has a matte finish and is very resistant to glare. IMHO the only thing wrong with it is Windows8, more lipstick on a pig, as operating systems go. Would have preferred Windows 7. They don't send you an OS backup disk and don't even give you the OS product key. I had to call HP to get a disk.

Solid laptop, but touchpad is fickle
I like the good feel of the keyboard and numeric pad that is not common on laptops. I like the fingerprint reader that makes it easy to login. It has good power and very sharp LED screen. However, the touchpad (possibly because of the many extra features) does not always consistently respond on some of my fingers. I have not gotten used to Win 8 as it is cumbersome to close some screens by having to go to the start screen and dragging the mouse to the upper left of the screen and then right clicking to close some windows that do not offer a close icon or respond to Ctl W. How is this an improvement?
