great product
laptop is great. very quick and very quiet! the only issue i have is getting used to windows 8. it is obviously made for touch screen and is almost pointless with out it. however, it is easy enough to get to a familure windows screen.

Lenovo G580: Good basic machine
After using an IBM Thinkpad laptop for 8 years, I really wanted to buy another but the price was too high. I opted to buy the Lenovo G580 because of the price and features and I am happy. My laptop came with Windows 8 which has a few bugs but is otherwise pretty easy to navigate.

great machine for the money
the third generation i5 processor works well , i upgraded the memory to 8 gigs befor the first boot up,it works well - the only thing i would have changed was windows 7 i dont care for windows 8

Not bad...except for Windows 8
So far, solid laptop. The performance is ok, but the price is right. Significant learning curve with Windows 8. After 3 uses and lot's of reading, i'm finally getting the hang of it but still not liking it. Decent laptop though.
