Works Great
Heard the hater reviews and relize that there just not into change. I finally updated from xp after like 12 years and have found all my usual features and became familar with the system quite quickly. It does start up quicker than my old systems but the fact that I have had no problems with any of my offline installed software when most was not made for Windows 8 is very good.

Had a boot problem with my new build.
I personal liked windows 8 and was happy to use it. There was this stupid problem with booting that really annoyed me. I would have to go through so many restart cycles to make windows work! Once windows booted up everything was smooth and working. Not a single crash once windows started working!I don't know if it was problem with motherboard, BIOS,or what. After wasting many hours trying to fix this problem I just got Windows 7. It was a shame, I really wanted to try out Windows 8.

Win 8 is WEIRD.
Win 7 is superior to Win 8. If not, then I haven't seen the benefit of the interface change. Since I am running Win 7 on an Intel i5 and Win 8 on an AMD FX Series X6, the ONLY difference I see is the interface.

Windows 8 is Junk
Spent a ton of bucks to buy windows 8 and be cutting edge. Sold the disks as junk. This OS was designed for kids who want to play with a tablet and don't have to get any work done.

Takes some getting used to
It's quite fast, and works well. Don't like the mail app. It doesn't work with POP3 mail.
