Nice Starter Set
I wanted to check out the latest itineration of budget yammy speaks and though I wasn't particularly thrilled with them, they sound just fine at my daughter's. This is a great starter set for those who want to place them on or in a cabinet for casual listening or watching videos. I got a demo pair for $65 shipped several yrs. ago but they've gone up in price a bit. For those with smaller spaces the Pioneer Andy Jones don't sound too bad for $100 bucks. I recommend Energy Connoisseurs for those who want to go to the next level. They aren't expensive and are well made. For you doggs who want the best I'd recommend Energy's Veritas bookshelfs or floorstanders. I have the RC-10's, the older model bookshelfs and they're phenomenal and sound like the Veritas. $100 speakers don't perform miracles but they're better than they were 10 years ago.

Amazing Value
For the money, I just don't know how you could do better. These speakers image really well and are well balanced in terms of bass, mid, and highs. That said - these are not audiophile quality speakers. They do an amazing job for what they are and will compare well and maybe outperform other speakers at 3 times the price.

Great speakers for the price!
I'm all about value and these speakers are, without a doubt, the best sound you will ever get for under $100! I am an electronics engineer and I have heard very few speakers this SIZE that sound this good, but NONE that are even close to this price range. I highly recommend these bookshelf speakers. The only thing to keep in mind is how deep these speakers are and how much they weigh. You may need to reinforce your bookshelf lol!

3-way bookshelves to die for!
I've been a serious audiophyle since the early 70's. From early simple stereo to the latest surround sound wonders I'm always obsessed with sound quality. I just converted my garage into a pool room and the new Sony's provide all the beautiful dynamic sounds I need for any and all the music I care to listen to while playing pool on my new oak table. Fantastic sound, fantastic price, and I couldn't be happier!!
