Twice bad
Bought one to burn recovery cd's for my netbook. It worked for that but when I tried to use it later it would not work. Thinking it might be the netbook I plugged it in my tower. Poof! Smoke comes out. Email and get a warranty return from Samsung. The refurb unit works twice before doing the exact same thing. Look for something else.

No problems
It was a great price, works on several different laptops with different operating systems, Win 7 wind vista and xp. plug and play! has some good software if you choose to use it. I just use it to burn movies and my kids use it on netbooks.

Works great on Net Books
I had previously bought a different brand for my Acer Net Book and had to send it back because of the product's inability to work properly with my Acer Net Book. I received this drive plugged it in, and it worked right away has never failed me.
