The Hawking HWABN1 Hi-Gain Wireless-300N Access Point/Bridge puts two solutions into one compact unit, saving you time and money. The included Software Setup Wizard lets you change the function of your Hawking HWABN1 Hi-Gain Wireless-300N Access Point/Bridge whenever you wish to adapt to your specific application and changing network environment.
In the Wireless Access Point Mode, the Hawking HWABN1 Hi-Gain Wireless-300N Access Point/Bridge allows for any existing wired network to go wireless at blazing 300Mbps speed! Simply attach the Wireless Access Point using the included Ethernet cable to an open port in your router or switch and enjoy high-speed wireless networking. You can also use the Access Point to cover "dead spots" in your existing wireless network by placing the unit in a room that is lacking wireless coverage.
The Wireless Ethernet Bridge Mode enables any wired Ethernet Ready device to connect to your existing wireless network using the Hawking HWABN1 Hi-Gain Wireless-300N Access Point/Bridge. Connect your PC, notebook, printer, network camera or even an entire wired network to the HWABN1 and establish a wireless connection to your wireless network. At home, you can connect your backhouse to the wireless network in your front house without having to run wires across the backyard. In the office you can wirelessly connect your main office network to your warehouse network without having to run long cables across your office floor. The possibilities are endless and the "driver-free" installation is simple.

Exactly as Advertised
This unit is perfect for plug in play wireless capability. Just plug it into your network, spend two minutes setting up the password, and you have instant wireless. Much easier than trying to scale down a router.

Extreme environment
Used the wireless G version on a dock in a fibreglass box on a river. It lasted 5 yrs at -20 degrees in winter and probably 120 degrees in the sun in summer. Getting wet finally killed it so now we now have this new version. This product is tough.

Worked Right Away
My advice is, rather than attempt to go it alone, just call their excellent Tech Support and they will gladly walk you through set-up. I'm getting full bars through out the house. Very nice.

Best AP So Far
I have tried many AP points in my business. This one is by far the best I've used. Setup in seconds and has a great range. The only downside is that it does not support POE, but that's not a big deal. I recommend this AP to anyone who is looking.

Worked for me
It was a bit dificult to set up for me I got stuck in one of the installation screens. Tech support was very helpfull and got me up an running in about 5 minutes. The whole process took less than 15 minutes. This is my first experience with Hawking products, a good one.
