Misleading and incomplete ad
I wish I had paid attention to the negative reviews. I had to buy an ethernet board for my computer in order to hook it up as directed. Then it did not work. Apparently it does have to be on the same circuit as your main computer. I called the help line(in India, of course) and was told I need a wireless router for it to work.??? Why would I need the powerline adapter if I have a wireless router?(makes no sense to me). I called Comcast and got the same answer, so I ordered their wireless router. Still waiting.....

AC Network Connection
Based on reviews I was somewhat skeptical that the product would work but took a chance. I needed a way to connect my satellite DVR to my internet modem. Since I did not want to put holes in my new family room to fish the network cable through I decided to try this product. I can only say it was as easy as plugging it into the wall jacks. Within a few seconds the devices recognized each other. I plugged in my DVR and wala it worked just as described. No problems and the speed is very good.

Doesn't Work Unless on Same Circuit
Unless this product is plugged into circuits utilizing the same circuit breaker it doesn't work. I plugged one unit into the into the computer housing my access point and into a circuit in that room. I took the other unit to my upstairs office and plugged it into my computer and an electrical outlet in that room and got no change in reception. My upstairs office I discovered is on a different circuit breaker and wired for a higher current.
