Backup for MusicPad
I was looking for a battery backup for my MusicPad Pro (Freehand Music) but because it is an unusual type of tablet computer (for reading and annotating sheet music) obtaining a standard external or replacement battery was not an option. The myPower All has been working great (using the adaptors included) and now I don't worry about my MusicPad running out of batteries during concerts or practices. Best of all it is so light that carrying it places no additional burden on an already loaded-up musician.
Didn't work with my laptop
I purchased this external battery for my ASUS laptop which I'm having a hard time finding replacement batteries for. I read the specs ahead of time, made sure that my laptop adapter was under the voltage limit for the battery, then ordered it. When I got it, though, it wouldn't stay on while plugged in. After calling the support desk, they said that even though the voltage of the adapter was under the battery limit, the output amps for the adapter were too much for the battery and that was why it would shut off. I just wished they had put that information in the specs as well. Great concept in theory, but worthless for large, power-hungry laptops.
Much better than extra laptop batteries!
At first I was not sure if I should buy a second battery for my new netbook or this external battery. No doubts now - the MP3750 was the right choice! I did not even need to use one of the adapter plugs to connect it to my laptop. Not sure how long the battery life will be yet (I know it lasts at least 4 hours with my netbook), but being able to use it with multiple devices is a great benefit!
