Great In Hot Tub!
Purchased this for use in my outdoor hot tub. I got tired of pulling speakers attached to long speaker wire out the back door every time we got in the hot tub. I didn't want to go through the hassle of hard wiring speakers outdoors so I thought I would give this a try. I have to admit I was worried about the volume being loud enough. I actually have looked online at this system on and off for about 6 months now. I finally decided to just give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I used it. I have my mp3 player plugged into it and the volume up to about 80%. The ball is 2 clicks from max volume and I have no problem clearly hearing my music over the jets. I've used it 3 nights in a row and have completely enjoyed decent sounding static free music. I put my mp3 player on shuffle, throw the speaker ball in the hot tub, grab a beverage and enjoy the evening. I'm not sure how fast it sucks up batteries but at this point believe it to be well worth the price!

Great Addition to any Hot Tub
For a single speaker I'm amazed at how rich and full the sound is, especially with the cover removed. While it could stand to be a bit louder, if you're just relaxing in the tub it's loud enough. The PoolPOD also has two blue LEDs that shine down into the hot tub and adds a nice glow to the water. I'd highly recommend adding rechargeable batteries to your cart when buying this; it eats through AA's like nobodies business! I only get a few hours of music out of it if the volume is cranked and the LEDs lit. Overall I'm very happy with my PoolPOD and glad I bought it!
