I had the old model, p6831fx and decided to ditch that one and upgrade to this one. Thus far, i've had to exchange the laptop SIX times. #1 had a dead pixel, #2 had a cracked screen, #3 had a smashed screen (viewing the laptop screen from the side resulted in the screen being clouded white) #4 had the same screen problem, and #5 had a bad headphone jack, and #6 keeps locking up. When this thing DOES decide to work, i can play crysis on HIGH, i can play anything maxed on this laptop. Beware though...refurbished. i am going to continue to exchange the laptop out until i get a good one.

I bought this refurbished Gateway about a week ago and it is amazing. The 64-bit OS allows the system to fully utilize the 4GB of DDR3!!! memory and it shows. Also, the GFX card is AMAZING!. I can run Warhammer online at max resolution (1920x1200) with max setting and not have any issues, and that goes for most other new games i've tried as well. My only advice would be to get a laptop cooling pad or prop it up because the airflow to the GFX card isn't that great and it can overheat.

I bought this laptop new any it has been the best computer investment I have made. Granted, it is a little heavy if you plan to take it everywhere and the battery lasts around 2 hours but the performance is amazing. I would grab this if I didn't already have one. I can play WoW, COD4, Fallout3, Crysis, etc. This thing can play just about everything you can throw at it. And with Vista 64, this price is unbeatable!
