This unit worked as soon as connected. It is actually a lite-on drive inside. The only inconvenient is the large power plug that will take some space in the carrying bag. |

Mine shipped with a non US adapter. By the time the convesion plugged is added the unit must be plugged into an extension cord!! |

Works like a charm! I'm a 78-year-old grandma, I installed this thing and had it running within minutes. The Lightscribe thingy is positively fantastic! I have impressed all of my senior friends with my professional looking disks. Highly recommended! Rg |

Installed on an HP multimedia quad PC with Vista Ultimate (64-bit) and multiple internal and external drives. Installation was flawless and started right up. Working with Windows, DVDneXt Copy, Nero, Lightscribe free utility. Excellent value- single missing feature is motor-driven tray. |
