the transition to 45nm process technology, beginning with the immediate availability
of energy-efficient AMD Athlon desktop processors. The move to 45nm process
technology enables AMD to produce more processors, for increased production
capacity, while continuing to aggressively scale performance and reduce power
consumption. AMD processors built with 45nm line-widths are designed to deliver
exceptional performance when running multiple applications, as well as enable
small form factor PCs that complement both home and office environments.
The AMD Athlon processor performs at the top of its class when running the home and business applications most. The AMD Athlon processor’s full-featured capabilities can include AMD64 Technology, HyperTransport technology, up to 512KB total high-performance cache, One 16-bit/16-bit link @ up to 800MHz system bus technology, and an integrated DDR2 memory controller.

''AMD Athlon LE-1660 Processor ADH1660DPBOX - 2.80GHz, 512KB Cache, Retail, Socket AM2'' I don't see anything misleading there, nothing about a X2 or 1MB cache, anyways I've always used AMD all the way back to the socket7 days the K6-2 then to a socket A athlonxp, and finally a 754 athlon64 3300+ now i'm about to upgrade to AM2 and will either go with this or a dual-core dunno yet

So what???? There are those of us running legacy pci cards that don't or can't operate with dual cores or hyperthreading (thankfully able to shut off in bios)..use W2kP(none of that activation nonsense)...AMD is filling that void where Intel turned their back on socket 478 and single core P4s,like a #550 that I had to get recently. Stop being such an achnehead and be pleased that AMD is filling a niche that needs to be filled!
