I was quite impressed with this PC because of the price to feature ratio. Tiger included another 1GB of RAM with the deal. I kind of wish they would have just either give you one 2 GB module or subtract the price and leave it at 1 GB. I purchaced two 2GB modules to max out this 32-bit system (you can put 8GB in, but 32-bit vista will only support 4). I also went online and picked up Vista Home Premium upgrade for $65. Be warned if you do this you have to do a fresh install as it comes with Vista Home Basic SP1, and MS won't let you upgrade a SP1 version of Vista from a non SP1 version. Since it was new, and I had none of my programs on it, this was no big deal. HP actually included Driver disks (as well as a recovery disk and its bloat ware disk, three total)! I'll probably put in a 320GB hard drive (about $90), the 120GB drive (about 100GB useable) is over half filled and I don't have much on it yet. Quite a nice machine for the price. Tiger delivered it quick as usual, Good Job!

PROS: great price, good features like express card 54, lite-scribe, shock-proof hard drive, webcam CONS: no fire-wire as advertised, slow performance (needs a stick of RAM to fix), DVD drawer makes a scary sound when you push it in but doesn't seem to affect anything OVERALL: great deal if you're not worried about blazing performance. throw in 1-2 GB stick of RAM and you should be fine.

I just purchased this and am very impressed. I upgraded the memory to 2GB and it works very fast. As far as the display being too dark on battery power - you need to make the adjustment in the power options. Also the Vista it comes with is the Basic one and 32 bit - 32 bit systems will not recognize over 3GB of memory. But you can always upgrade the operating system. Overall a great computer at a reasonable price.

Seems to be a bit slower then we are used to, but all in all it was a great value, and my wife loves it ( I bought it for her)
