The remote was easy to program due to I had a logitech previously. I like this remote a lot and my wife and kids find it easy to use. If you are not looking to spend a lot of money on a remote but still want the features, I suggest this one. The remote would have been better if it had wifi instead of ir, which uses line of site to operate. |

this unit rocks!! i will say it took a bit of tweaking but it's well worth it it even runs the A/C and lights i love this thing |

I have enjoyed using the Harmony remotes and find this one just as easy to use, setup and feature rich. I use it with my LCD tv and all it's periphial devices. It's a great product for the price I paid for the refurb! |

I bought a refurbished version, just to see what it's like. It's really nice and responsive. I use it with my LCD TV and cable HD set top box, it inputs user-defined channels a little slowly (e.g. 7... 6... 8...), slower than if I use the virtual keypad on the Harmony. I'm thinking it could be an attempt to make the entry more accurate, so I'm not complaining. The only other gripe I have is that when it is placed on its dock, there's a high-pitched whining sound when the LCD is still on. Then again, this happens only at the end of the day, so it's not a big deal to me. And battery life is pretty good too, it definitely doesn't run out in a couple of hours. |

Nice device, easy to set up, works as it should and fairly easy to use too. Only issue is that holding it for a long period is a bit more difficult than a slim remote and using it for a right handed person makes my wrist sore but that is pretty minor for a device that takes the number of remotes from 5 down to 1 for me and simplifies life. I like it. |

This remote is hands down the best toy I have in my living room. I upgraded from the Harmony 880, which I have had for over 2 years, working flawlessly. I had to upgrade to this because the price was right and the 880 got passed down to my mother. You cannot go wrong at $179.99 for refurbished. |

Thought I was going to have to send it back though because the software did not want to load. Took four attempts and several battery removals to get the software upgraded/installed properly. Once that hurdle was overcome it has been great.
I like having the My Videos from MCE as a choice since we use this function, however I don't like the fact that the auto-system forces you to have the DVD player on. I don't play movies from MCE via the DVD player, but from my WHS or the HTPC itself. I will keep working with manual configurations and see if I can get around that minor issue.
Button placement isn't very intuitive but once you use it a few times they become easier to find. Buttons only require a light touch.
Why doesn't this refurb unit come with a full 1 yr warranty? If certified by the factory then shouldn't it come with a full warranty like new units??? Trying to make the extended warranty more appealing I guess. |

This is a great item, especially the online and phone support. When you program your devices into the remote, you are simultaneously saving your profiles on the Logitec website in your own password protected ID where they can help with any issues concerning programming. Updated firmware is also available on the website. Even my OLD equipment codes were available. Macro functions are cool; the ability to set up one-touch activation of your home entertainment functions. Cons: Not very ergonomic. Awkward for one-hand operations. Documentation says it is RF ready, but ONLY with their RF entender. I wanted to use it with my RF X10, but you need the X10 infrared receiver in line-of-sight. Some users experienced quick battery discharge. Mine lasts 5 days off the cradle with current firmware. Only a good buy if you take the refurb for around $219. |

Great unit, especially for the price! My remote was in new condition and well packaged. Set up was easy but after using it for a while I needed to make a couple tweaks to make the ''Hard'' buttons actually function. This was easily accomplished through the software which is very user friendly. The screen is a bit grainy but still easily read. Arrived 3 days early also!!! Another success story! |
