Fine product, however, this is a ''Netbook'' not a ''Notebook PC.'' It is a whole different platform & ASUS's customized Linux OS is much better suited for it. Everyone wants windows because they think they're not going to be able to use a Linux Netbook as easily as a Windows PC. It's not a PC. Just like your Blackberry isn't a PC. It runs better w/ Linux.It has everything one needs to surf the web, use web apps, view multi-media, create & read office docs, etc. You can do without Windows & it costs less. Would you buy a Mac w/ Windows? |

I have had this computer for a week now. I never post reviews but I had to post one on this. Runs fast. Batter about 3hrs. You can get even more if you dim the display a little. Unit seems to be made solid and not just a piece of plastic. Boots up quick. Hide your tool bar to give you more viewing on screen. Also update the Windows Explorer to 7.0. Weight is so lite I feel as if I'm going to drop it sometimes. Overall I am very very happy with this netbook computer. There is no CD drive but you can buy a USB CD/DVD combo from HP for $79 and it's simple plug and play. Another thing I found was so far I have not needed external CD drive as I have been able to download software over the net via whoevers web site. Happy! Jagmodelx@aol.com |

Perfect. Right shift key takes a little getting used to. Hard drive is partitioned up strangely, but is easily fixed. Very fast, very impressed with Asus... Great value, hands down. |
