Great product with great support
This range extender was simple to setup and performs well. Even better, when I had an unknown change to my wireless environment that took it offline, my call to tech support to get it fixed was handled immediately and well. I'd buy any Hawking product based on the excellent support alone.

Never worked correctly
I purchased the extender because I moved into a new two story house and was getting weak or no signal downstairs or in my yard. I am very knowledgable, building computers and setting up networks. It took two calls to Hawking to connect the router to my dlink. There tech support is out of India, the first guy was super nasty and I hung up on him. The second person was a woman, she was nice and helpful, but although the device connected to my router I still couldn't connect to the Internet. Also, you are not technically extending your network, you are creating another network using the same signal. If your network is called HOME, you have create another network HOME2 to connect to.

Very good for the price
I have had the device for 2 months and it has worked as advertised, great. It did take me 1.5 hours to set up, but that was my fault, since I was typing in an incorrect password from my router. Without screwing the password thing up, I estimate that set up would have taken me 15-20 mins. At least this allowed me to check out their customer service. I ended up speaking to 2 customer service reps from India and while their English wasn't the best, it was good enough to get the job done. Although they were a bit scripted in the way they spoke, they were very polite and I was pleased with their service. Finally, the range in the house has been great. Our house is large and we are now getting much better reception all over the house. I know realize that our cable router's range is horrible, since all of our device are now on the device. Overall, I would give it a 4.8 out of 5 stars.

Just what I needed!
Took me 3 days with Netgear & 1 day with Hawking to get it to work. All I had to do was run the setup disk again for Netgear and then run the setup for Hawkings and everything functions beautifully! My dead spot is dead no more!
