This did nothing well. The device works only to copy input video to dvd, NOTHING ELSE. When copy was complete, sound was out of sync with video. Manufacturer has not addressed the problem. Tried on 3 different computers with same result.
Gets the job done well!

I was shopping around for something to use to capture game footage. I decided to get this one because it was less expensive than what I was originally planning on getting. I'd also heard good things about the Dazzle before. It certainly does get the job done well - I had no problems with installing it or using it. The only issue I have is that the device is locked so that only the DVD recording program recognizes it as an audio device. I was trying to live broadcast my game footage and was rather disappointed to find out that it wouldn't broadcast the sound directly from the red-yellow wires. But for my usual needs, this works wonderfully, I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a video game capture device.
Don't buy this

There were no instructions. Had to get past the glitches on my own. Audio did not come over at all. At end of video transfer, program locked up and couldn't finish the DVD. Computer froze often, even when not using this program.
Does more than expected

Converted all my VHS and 8mm tapes to DVD. That is what I purchased it for and it performed as advertised. I am running Vista 32bit and not had a single problem. If you want a product as I've described, I would recommend the Dazzle DVD recorder.
Does what it says
