Printer manufacturer Epson designed the Epson WorkForce 30 printer for small and home-based business users who need to quickly print professional, high quality, long-lasting documents ranging from direct mail pieces and brochures to proposals and contracts. The Epson WorkForce 30 printer aims to provide superior color laser printing solutions, optimum performance and quality.
The WorkForce 30 works at a fast rate with printing speeds of 38 ppm for black documents and 20 ppm of color images. With a dual black ink system, it is capable of producing twice as many text files than other competing products. It also conforms to Energy Star standards, providing energy cost savings of up to three times in comparison to a standard laser printer. This printer also has an individual cartridge system, wherein only the specific cartridge that has been exhausted needs to be replaced.
DURABrite Ultra Ink technology is also a part of this device. It is an advanced pigment-based ink technology that encapsulates each pigment particle in a protective resin coating. This makes the ink resistant to water, smudging and fading, and provides laser-like accuracy when printing text and glossy photos. This ink lasts a lifetime too, a good 200 years to be exact, meaning, even your great great grandsons and daughters will get to see your photos too. Moreover, the Epson Workforce 30 features Epson’s advanced MicroPiezo Ink Jet printing with DX3 technology. This technology is also featured in large-scale printers used by leading commercial and industrial companies to deliver photo lab printing, digital printing and textile printing services.
The Epson Workforce 30 incorporates an impressive resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi to ensure it produces smooth and finely detailed images, eliminating those frustrating dotted and jagged edges sometimes found in color text or graphs. It also distinguishes between photographic images, text, or line drawings and will automatically alter the line screening and color correction on each page. This ensures that images are produced with excellent gradation and color, while text remains vivid and clear.
This new laser also features advanced printer drivers to ensure efficient data compression, keeping the computer and network resource requirements to a minimum. What's more, where a job consists of individual color and mono pages; each will be printed at the appropriate speed for optimum quality and throughput. This makes the Epson Workforce 30 one of the fastest color laser printers in its class. Handling documents of varying sizes is a lot easier with the Epson Workforce 30. It will print from B5 up to A3 paper size. Also, this printer can handle a wide variety of media from standard plain paper to premium photo paper.
For interface and compatibility, the Epson Workforce 30 works well with Microsoft Windows (e.g. Vista, XP, XP Professional and 2000) and Mac (e.g. OS 10.3.9, 10.4.9, 10.5.x). It also supports hi-speed USB 2.0 for its connectivity.

Best way to put it, you get what you pay for... Paper does not go through well, and I really did not like the fact that it did not come with a USB cable, I don't recommend the WorkForce 30 Printer to anyone even for a cheap gift. |

Pile of junk, won't feed paper properly, sounds
like a bulldozer only louder. Bought a Epson 820
sometime ago, same problems.I would think a company
like Epson could build a better product. |

Fast, but almost worthless. This printer has been a waste of time. The paper never feeds correctly and constantly jams (every jam consumes ink). Prints black great but not color. Very expensive on ink and not efficient. We DO NOT recommend this printer. |
