Control up to eight hidden components - your cable or satellite TV receiver, stereo receiver or amplifier, CD player, DVD player, Blu-ray player or virtually any component controlled by an IR signal with the Smarthome 59502 IR Receiver Kit. It can help keep your audio/video components neatly behind entertainment center doors or in an equipment closet. You can mount this Smarthome 59502 IR Receiver Kit on the side of your television and it receives the IR signals from an existing remote control and distributes those signals via IR emitters to A/V components. The Smarthome 59502 IR Receiver Kit is easy to set up and has been successfully tested with both Plasma and LCD TVs. Get it today!

Best IR kit for the money
Was a little disappointed that the EYE cable was not longer. I was hoping to have the power supply mounted in the closet with all the components but when I fished the eye through the wall it did not reach the TV. Therefore I had to mount power supply behind the TV. The red LCD light would glow on the ceiling at night so I put some tape over it to solve that problem. Other than that, a good product.

Works Great
I used this as I put a soundbar on the table in front of my television and it blocks the IR receiver on the flat screen. The IR extender works like a charm, I put the receiver behind a window in the cabinet, you can't even see it, the wire comes up behind the TV and mounts on the TV IR receiver behind the soundbar and the remote now works perfectly and I have the benefit of the soundbar. Been using if for two months, with no problem.
