I purchased this unit thinking that I could browse web sites and watch Internet TV. Wrong !!! Very slow performance and the remote is worseless. Maybe in the future Linksys will update the remote and hardware. |

First off, before buying, make sure to note it will only work with Windows Vista or later. It does work as promised and streams quite well. The unit itself is quite slow and can be frustrating at times even connected to a wireless N router. I would recommend this product unless the Xbox comes down in price a bit more. |

I picked this up last week at $154 and it has worked well. I have it running over my wireless and it seems to run most movies well; however, some of the higher quality files stutter.
The hardware was simple to setup and easy to use. Remote is flimsy, but adequate. Online media is sharp and picture quality from DVD and sound quality is excellent. |

Just purchased the DMA2200 and had a lot of issues getting this thing to work! Unit would not go wireless with my computer or update via wireless connection. I connected the unit via the eithernet cable and updated it and then it seemed to work fine. Can not get the Internet TV (beta) feature to work on my DMA2200? Works great for watching recorded media & music, but will not stream much else. Seems to be built around a lot of pay-for-use programs and I do not recommend it for the person trying to use the Internet as a replacement for your cable TV. They need to do a lot of updating of the software to get it to the point that your average lay-person can use this device for useful stuff! Remote is very cheap and not user friendly! The price was right and the DVD feature is very nice compared to the other units available. In my opinion Microsoft had a good idea with the Media Center, but are trying to pick your pockets clean with all the pay-per-view! Linksys customer service SUCKS! |

Using WRT610N Router with Linksys DMA2200 Media Extender was hard to setup. Settings on the router to make DMA2200 work include:
Basic Wireless Set to Manual, Disable 5 GHz, Set 2.4 GHz Network Mode to Mixed, Set Radio Band to Wide, Set Wide Channel to 6, set Standard channel to 8
Set Wireless security to WPA2-Personal
Advanced Wireless Settings: (on both channels) Disable Frame Burst, Set Beacon Interval to 50, RTS Threshold to 2304
On the DMA2200, go to setting and reset to factory defaults under General Tab, walk through the setup screens. Then go to your PC and add the media Extender. Then power off the extender, Power off router for 1 minute. The power on router, Reboot PC, power on Extender and everything worked for me.
Once everything is working, you can go back to the router setup and enable the 5Ghz channel which now will work well with the media extender.
