Excellent product

Had only issue installing drivers cause of Windows update. Reads my drives just fine. 2X2gb and 2X1gb. Wish it were a little faster, but on a file server it does exactly as I need. Have not experienced any lock ups or drops running as JOBD and raid through windows itself.

did not get it to work

My computer comes raid ready. could not read any drives on this card. Could not use. Still have it in the box. Might try it again in a different computer. My computer is now running raid without this card so I have no idea of this cards use.

Support drives at least up to 1.5TB

I have an older machine. The existing sata interface card in my machine locked at boot after I installed a new 1.5TB drive (it was working well with a 500GB). So I was concerned I might not find a card to support larger capacities because of the max capacity of drives at the time. This card however does work with a 1.5TB drive under Fedora 17. This card was a welcome addition to the machine. PS:I can't believe I am being blocked from entering peeCeeEye here yet it takes Fedora.

Great Product

Adds extra screen before OS loads. It is brief and needed if you wish to access the card to configure. It isn't SATAII but it does perform as stated. I am running it on an older computer that did not even have SATA so this card has given the computer new life. I have Windows XP booting from a Raid 0 array through this card and I have Zero issues. So If you are ok with 150Mbs then this card is a good choice.

Great Card

I have been running this card for over 2 years, WIN XP Pro, F0xC0nn mobo, single EIDE boot drive and this card with 2 Caviar Black 750GB drives in RAID10. I have never had the system do a rebuild except after a system reboot unexpected lock-up. Read on other sites that other cards have stability issues with drives getting bumped out of the RAID because of error checking delays. The Caviar Blacks are the best Ive ever found and work great in this configuration, I do 3D modeling and some of these base files are over 2GB each . I am planning on adding another drive and doing RAID10 plus N1 hot redundancy if this will support it. If not, still recommend two-thumbs way up. Had absolutely no installation or operational issues of any type, XP picks it right up. I have not tried this config for a boot drive so I can not comment on it for that application. Others observations correct, boot is delayed a few seconds by the RAID screen but not a big deal.

Great Expansion Card

This card was loaded on a P4P800 Asus mother board in order to upgrade the system to sata drive Technology. The card was immediately recognized and installed on the system now allowing me full access to the standards now set by the new SATA drives. Including RAID. This also allows one to boot from a Solid State Sata drive..... GREAT

Solid product at the price point

This card works fine with Ubuntu 11.04, and setting up hardware RAID arrays recognizable with Linux installations isn't a problem. Great card for the money.

Works like it should

Great product, bought it and it was easy to install, functioned like it should and haven't had a problem with it. Bought it about 8 months ago and its still working like a champ.

Eventually Works

I had to reinstall Windows and figure some things out in the process. Windows 7 install you have to manually install driver and then make sure you refresh to get the drive to show up as available. In Windows 7 I got errors on both of my RAID drives saying there was potential drive failure.
