Works with Windows 7 64 bit
When I bought this card I was taking a chance that it would not work with the newer systems, but it does. You install the card and driver on Win-7, but you can then assign it to be passed through to XP running on the virtual machine software that is available for Win-7. No need to install any drivers on XP when running on the Win-7 virtual server. Now I can run my old Windows application that needs XP and a serial RS-232 interface that I use to program my Vantage lighting system in my home but have my computer running Win-7 for other newer apps.

Great for Hylafax
I use this card with Ubuntu for a Hylafax server to add an additional external fax modem. Natively supported by Ubuntu 10.04 with no problems.

It's a Serial PCI Card
Easy install plug and play PCI card. Works great as it should. Running 30 days no problems on Win XP. Very useful for connecting older style serial based devices. Faster and more reliable then USB to Serial converter. This site shipped fast and at a great price as usual.

Legacy hardware
I had connected an old piece of hardware to a new Vista computer through a USB/Serial adaptor without success. I replaced the adaptor with this card and was completely successful. The only thing I would caution is to check the number of PCI card slots your motherboard has. The computer I was forced to use only had two.
