After doing my reviews research homework, I decided to go for the T240 and I have no regrets. I use it as a TV control monitor, hooked-up to a Directv Satellite receiver via the component connectors, since the HDMI outlet is used for my projector. The picture quality is excellent and I would buy this product anytime again. |

For the price, this monitor does everything I want regarding cable TV and laptop connectivity. I have one in the kitchen, and one in the office now. |

Picture quality is fine on both monitor and in tv. Wish it has an analog audio output on the back of the unit so I could feed it to my PC while watching TV. The built in speakers are just ok. |

This monitor works great with my iMac. I purchased a different monitor, but the resolution was incompatible, so I researched and bought this one. It is a great monitor and I am totally satisfied. |

We mounted a little Acer Atom funbox on the back of the 2 foot Sammy, hooked up the satellite and set it on the breakfast counter. Multimedia with morning cheerios or recipe box set to music. This is my favorite non-wheeled toy. Truly the stuff of dreams. |

I purchased this monitor because my previous monitor was also a Samsung. I had it for eight years and it still looked as good when I sold it to a relative as when I purchased it. Everyone I know with a Samsung monitor has been happy with them. This monitor has the added feature of also being able to use as a television because it has a built in tuner. Colors on this monitor look great once adjusted to video card.
The only negatives are a slight light bleed from back light on a black screen, but in normal use I've yet to notice it. And of coarse the built in speakers aren't that great, but who buys a monitor for the speakers anyway? I, like most people, have an external set with a subwoofer and I only hooked up the monitor speakers just to see what they sounded like.
Overall a great monitor and I would highly recommend it to anyone. |

While called a HD Monitor, it is an excellent HD TV receiver. It replaces a failing analog CRT TV receiver. I may eventually replace with a somewhat larger HD receiver; in the meanwhile this unit is a surprisingly good solution.
Only issue is that the remote supplied with the unit does not match documentation. It was easier enough to set up anyway. I downloaded the correct documentation from the Samsung website so that issue has gone away. |

I have had the monitor for several weeks. I wanted time to evaluate it before providing a review. The display is crisp, bright, and very easy to read. I replaced two 19 inch monitors with this one unit. The refresh rate when viewing video or streaming from on line is very close to TV quality. Running Win 7 allows many benefits on a larger monitor that are not practical on two 19 inch monitors.
Will be buying another one when my daughter goes to college. She loves this as much as i do.
