As advertised.
A little cheaply made, and you need to be careful installing a drive so you don't break it, but works as advertised. I wouldn't buy this if I planned on switching a lot of drives. it will not hold up. otherwise, it read my old failing IDE drive and saved my rear.

Poorly made product
After seeing the 4+ star average on this product I ordered one for myself. I was really surprised when I opened the box and pulled this thing out. This enclosure is really flimsy and put together very poorly. When you insert a HD it pushes against four prongs that are holding the LED lights that you see through the front cover. On my 1st attempt to install a HD, 2 of the 4 lights went out. The end pieces look like aluminum in the picture but they are actually cheap plastic. I guess if you plan on installing ONE hard drive and then never touching this enclosure again it might be worth buying. Do NOT buy this if you are planning on swapping out multiple drives. It will fall apart on you if you try.
