Another HP Boat Anchor
Out of box ran ok, not anything impressive. We use it for word processing, listening to transcribed wav. files and uploading and downloading for a medical practice. Within the first 8 months it was down about half the time. Shut itself off no reason, lost data and froze up. At 10 months it stopped loading OS. HP offered new software, ran all the diagnostics nothing showed up. Re-loaded computer 7 more times over the next 60 days and it constantly froze up. This machine cost us more than it cost in lost revenue while it was down. Tie a rope on it and use it for a anchor thats all its good for. We are still trying to get HP to take it back for replacement it lasted 11 months.

HORRIBLE computer for business.
Ran ok with some minor issues for 6 months. Then last week it would not start normally or in safe mode. 2 entire days on the phone with business support. STILL won't work after 3 hard drive re-formats. Essential for our business and causing big problems. Useless.

I bought this computer 3 months ago, everything ran smoothly until one day the operating system wouldn't boot up. I did research and found out that the Seagate harddrive they used was faulty. Apparently the hard drive itself locks up after a few months because of firmware problems. People are saying that your data is still there but the hard drive just won't communicate with the computer. You have to contact Seagate if you want your data back. But overall everything else works.

I work in an IT department for a school district and we made the mistake of ordering many of these. We have had nothing but problems with these machines, seems some components HP used were really poor quality. I hate this model and hope they put out something better next time around.

This is a great computer for a small business or a home office. You just can't beat all the ''bells and whistles'' at this price! Best part of this particular configuration is the dual operating system choice. If you're not ready for Vista, but want the option, you've got it. Huge RAM and hard drive sealed the deal for me. Fast delivery even with the UPS '' ground'' option.
