For me this was overkill
I had 16 Gigs and this 16 went on sale, so I could not resist. Now I have 32 Gigs of RAM in a multi media computer, so the ram runs about 8% of its ability. I will never know if it can stand up to heavy use, lol. But man is this new computer fast.

work great at 1600 Mhz.
I saw a previous review complaining that this memory only works at 1333 Mhz. I just bought this along with my Asus M5A99X. I was able to set this memory to run at 1600Mhz only and it ran flawlessly. My system is running so fast now.
