This card has been great so far. It was acting funny under Vista, but, once I installed the latest drivers it's worked like a champ. It was probably acting funny, more than likely, because of Vista.
Great Card! Great Price!
Working for me

I wanted to upgrade the video performance of my home computer from the on-board chipset. I am not a gamer so I did not need the latest super whamo gigabomb board. I run OpenSUSE linux, so I could not pick just any video card. As usual, this reseller delivered my order in three days. I plugged it into my machine, and I have better video performance. You are my favorite electronics supplier.
good mainstream card

this card plays great for the back-in-the-day gamer like half life source or c&c generals. without a fan it gets hotter than it should though.

I am running in an old Emachines with 1+ gigahertz chip so I don't get absolutely the best performance just for that reason. Even tho' I have 1GB of memory the AMD lugs a little. I am running dual monitors (Acer 1080p) and all told, the images and clarity are stunning. Can't beat combo of price and performance. Will remove and put in a new computer hopefully soon. A little more muscle from the CPU should rock. I know the site certianly does!!!

Preamble: I rated this 5 for the sheer bang for the buck.
This card is the single cheapest way to improve a base system with onboard graphics into a very capable PC.
The only hitch is that to get the display above 1024x768 I had to enable the secondary monitor. After that it unlocked full resolution. Minor issue. Great combined with any Athlon X2 processor.

I use my computer for watching OTA HDTV and playing mostly C&C type games. This did get hot at first, but I took the heat sink and fan from an old 2600 pro and put it on this card. It ran at 50C playing C&C3 all settings on high. It does what I need it to do. I expect it will do even better when I put an AM2+ processor in.

for what it costs this is a great card but don't be planning to do any high graphics with this card if you want a great card for gaming go with at least the HD3850 but this one is great for the average computer user but not the gamer

I installed it in my dell 530s. I also had to get part P450-7918 ( XFX MA-BK01-LP1K Low Profile Double/Single Bracket Kit ) and it went in without a hitch. The down side is since i wanted both the dvi and vga it took two external slots after the conversion. So far its worked very well and my vista experience # went up! note the box recommends a 300w pw supply, but the 530s has a 250w power supply. i haven't noticed a problem with that.

I originally ran this in a Hybrid setup with a 3200 IGP but the system ram made games choppy. I then ran it by itself and attempted to OC it but AMD locked the BIOS so only the memory can be OC'd. I then used AMD's GPU Clock Tool which didn't quite recognize it, but overclocked it anyway. Now I know why they locked the GPU. The 600mhz core clock will OC to 780mhz stable (AMD Overdrive showed it as running at 813mhz actually) and the memory clock ran stable at 600mhz (1200mhz). All I did was point a 80mm fan at the stock HS! Idles 35'C and goes to 45'C under load while overclocked. FPS jumped 32% in my tests!
