I got this to replace a dead nvidia card and I was very impressed with the improvement I can play WOW and the only lag I get is in Dalaran and that is with all the video settings maxed. Cheap way to extend the life of my old agp system.
great agp card

bought this card because my old sapphire radeon 9800 pro bit the dust. i wanted the best card i could get for AGP that would at least equal my old one; i would say this does the job admirably.
recommended 450 PSU with 30 amps on 12 volt rail so i was a bit worried because i put mine into an old dimension 8300 with a 305 watt PSU but so far it is running fine. performance equal to if not a bit better than my old radeon 9800 pro. i have a new 550 watt PSU on order and when that is installed i'm hoping to see even better performance.
alot of people say this thing is a power hog and i am a pretty hardcore gamer, but the only game i play is FFXI online and it seems to run great on that with my crappy 305 watt PSU.
as far as installation and drivers, not a single problem just forgot about the disk and downloaded the new hotfix drivers that were released yesterday and it works fine :)
would highly recommend this card if you need the best AGP card you can get.
Now I can game against the new computers again

System 3.2ghz p4 800MHz FSB, 4G ram, 460W power supply, Win 7 Home Premium. Original card was a 9800Pro and when that went bad i bought a 1GB 3650 and was not impressed. I bought this one after doing my homework and have been very satisfied. Frame rate increased and I now run games at higher resolution. I can hear the fan on card but the noise is just added to my other 3 fans on my noisy system. I am confident i can continue using my ''old'' system for a while unless i have a unrelated hardware failure. If you are looking for an AGP card is it probably because you don't want to buy a new system. This will keep you going!

Completely revived my 2003 P4 computer! Had to buy a new power supply just to get this card going. Previous card was an ATI Radeon 9200, so what a jump!!! Still catching up on games from a couple of years ago, like Lost Planet and Prey, bt I am running them on 1080p resolution on my HDTV, and the card has no problem handling.
This is a great card, and keeps AGP going awhile longer. Supports DX10 and makes games look great, Call of Duty 4 ran flawlessly and DDO Unlimited (MMO)runs excellent on Very High graphics option. I upgraded from an FX5200 after my Radeon X1650XT died on me, and this card leaves that X1650XT in the dust. The 512GB of DDR3 Video ram makes it pretty quick too. I recommend that if you need an AGP upgrade this is the card to get.
Nice card but had a surprise

No problems here. I use my PC as a Digital Audio Workstation so graphics are not all that important but the dual out is important. However, the card does work well with my DAW software and that's what I needed. I did find something interesting though. I downloaded the Windows 7 test software that tests your computer to see if it is compatible with Windows 7. The video card failed the test much to my surprise and my system is a dual Xeon system. Expecially when my laptop passed and the video card in my laptop has no where near the horsepower as this one. Go figure.
Nothing to complain about here

this keeps the agp slot alive, and well. how can you complin about a $99.99 card. i've spent $400.00 on a card before and this card is better.Unless you want to go PCI enjoy this video card.I also bought the Sapphire HD2600XT for my sons computer is also runs great. My advise would be dont try to overclock it thats when failed results can happen. just install and enjoy. 5 stars on both cards.
Best for AGP

Upgrade from Nvidia 7600GT to HD3850 and got some increase in performance but not by much since my system was limited by my CPU (Socket 939 AMD64 3800+). However, it's still a good card. It's good enough to play older games like CounterStrike Source with decent frame rate. Be aware that it needs a power supply with at least 30amp on the 12 volt rail. I had to upgrade to 650watts from 450watts to keep my system stable.
Solid performance on the cheap.

A solid video card for those of us still using AGP. Initially, I was disappointed with the lack of ability to overclock, and that the Catalyst ATI drivers didn't solve all my issues with it. But a quick look online for the 9.7 hotfix, and Voila! Perfect integration, solid performance.
