Card Works Great - Adds 2 SATA Ports
I use an ASUS MOBO and it boots fine with this card. I still use XP Pro. I don't see any unusual rise in the internal temps with this card installed. You can use as RAID drives or not, but the RAID software MUST be installed for card to work. I rated it down on Features because it leads you to believe you are getting 4 additional SATA ports when in fact you are only getting 2. Either 2 internal, 2 external or 1 of each, but NO MORE than 2 additional ports. You would think since you get 2 more ports they would include 2 sets of cables, but they don't and you only get 1 cable set (data and power). Overall, the card does work well, just be sure to configure the jumpers correctly and install the RAID drivers. I would recommend it for someone who needs to squeeze two more SATA ports into their machine.

CD Broke upon arrival includes extras though.
I got mine installed no problems. I had 2 SATA and 2 Power connectors and one broke or cracked CD. I played with the jumpers for a while to get ports 3 and four to work. I am using Windows 7 ultimate and the card is being used for the optic drives only. Used my internal motherboard SATA ports for the hard drives only. So far works fine in this manner. Wrote man to see if I can get a new CD from them.

No help from Support
I too am stuck with machines that do not boot after this card is installed. No help from tech support. I would like to talk to one person who can reboot their machine (reliably) with this card in and find out what board they are using. I have tried Intel, Dell, Asus, Gigabyte. They all do the same thing. get stuck at the bios screen when booting. I have two of these cards just sitting. Still wonder why I have not thrown them out. In case you are wondering I have even played with updating and down grading the BIOS on each system, power supplies, memory, different drives, disabling onboard devices, ect....

Terrible SATA controller.
I have this same controller except with Sabrents name on it and it works fine. This card is terrible. It runs really hot, was hard to install as the external SATA ports are too close to the edge of the plate, and the bios screen only stays up for about 1/2 a second making it hard to get into. Overall this is a very cheaply made card and I would not recommend it.

Average Product, Zero Support
This card prevents my PC from booting into Windows, unless I enter its BIOS settings on every boot and then cancel back out. While the product does what it says it does, I don't like having to jump through hoops like that to get basic functionality from any product I purchase. I attempted to contact Masscool about my problem and received no answer. I can't recommend this product in particular, or Masscool products in general. Summary: Card does the job, but not without constant attention. No help at all from manufacturer.
