Hiro H50158 Low Profile modem provides an easy way to link yourself to the world. It incorporated the V.92 standard, so your PC can establish a connection faster, and the connection can be up to 56K speed. Modem-on-hold feature allows you to answer a phone call during an internet connection, then resume after the call is finished without killing the connection. The bundled Fax Talk Communicator application allows you to use your PC as an answer / voicemail box as well as a fax machine. Approved via Microsoft WHQL standard, it demonstrates stability & reliability. With so many features packed into such a little box, you can never go wrong with Hiro modem.

My fear was that it wouldn't be small format, or that I'd have to change out the card, so was pleased to find it was as advertised. No problems installing, although had to leave out some of the installed software as unnecessary. My clients were pleased with how they worked. |

Nice modem for the money. I didn't actually notice that this was a low-profile modem until it arrived. A bit of sculpting using a Dremel sanding disc allowed the low-profile to work nicely in a regular sized slot! My bad. |

I have an old Dell Celeron PC that came with a modem. The speed was fast. I put this new modem on a new dual core PC, this modem's performance is slower than the Celeron PC. |
