Sennheiser PC350 G4ME Gaming HeadsetItem#: S302-2046  |  Model#: PC350

Researched headphones for about 2 months. Was looking at audio-technica stereo monitoring cans. Needed gaming headset. Could not validate buying two sets. Went with the PC350's. I can honestly say the PC350's accurately replicate sound. More than likely if someone says that the sound is inferior...they are listening to a song or game that was engineered poorly. If that is the case...your PC350's will reproduce the sound as it was produced. Listen to some rap. I dont like rap...but you can hear the high end tech driven sounds...it sounds crisp and clean. I use Adobe Audition 3.0 to edit sound. I recorded my voice thru the PC350 mic. The wave form was very clean. I had the TV on. I have 6 fans in my pc...you could not see them in the wave form, or hear them. They are very comfortable. You can tell from the moment you put them on that some engineer was fully aware of what gamers needed. No flashy lights,stickers or pro-gamers tags. I am hyper critical...I cannot find any flaw.

It amazes me that this headset has so little reviews. I purchased these after owning a Razer Piranha set. These things are awesome. And to ''jzee63'', these are made for gaming, not music. Gamers hate bass in headphones! I use these for Left 4 Dead and TF2. Quality, comfort, and a realistic audio experience. What else can you want? Oh. One more thing. There is no such thing as ''surround sound headphones''. It's a marketing scam. If you pay for a surround sound headset, you are only wasting your money. You are better off looking for a high quality stereo headset, such as these.

Sennheiser truly made one heck of a headset. These headsets feel sturdy and made of good quality. The mic does not bend left or right so easily, but i never found a need for it. Flipping it down in front of me without any adjustments worked flawlessly with Ventrilo or in game voice software. The microphone capabilities are praiseworthy. Through testing, my voice is loud, clear, and crisp. Combined with a circumaural headset, it does an OK job of drowning out ambient noise. Twisting your head to the left of right can create openings in the paddings around your ear, letting slightly more noise in. The audio quality is fairly good. The highs, mids, lows, sound very clean. Above all else, if your looking for impressive audio matched with crystal voice clarity, these cans will rock your socks.

I'm a little disappointed with the sound of the headset. The sound seems tinny with not enough bass. If I had the opportunity to try this headset before I spent $160.00, I never would have bought them. I get comparable sound with my $40.00 logitechs.

its a real treat. only thing is that is doesn't have a USB adapter w/ it. and i dont have a soundcard so im using onboard.
