Customer Reviews
This card is truely awesome. Beside the fact that it can run 99% of game maxed at almost max res, overclocking is freakin sweet with this thing. Starting at 675 core clock, I managed to get it all the way to 840 on STOCK COOLING. Shaders running in mid 1600s, put that up to around 1900 (probably could get more) and mememory that starts at 1100 (x2 - 2200), I put it at around 1200 (x2 = 2.4 GB). WoW CRAZY. I actually bought this over the 9800 GTX+ because I hear you get higher overclocks with this one. I am really conidering buying another, and maybe even 2 more so I can go 3-way SLI. I hear you can get up to 2.7-2.8 times the preformance, and with overclocking, that number goes to about 3.8 times. Thats like 4 9800 GTXs for the price of 3!BTW when SLI'd (2 way) gets a lot more frames per second than the single 9800 GX2. Crysis maxed out I can get around 20-25 frames running 1600 x 1050, but I am also running an out dated processor(core 2 duo@2.9GHZ), and only 3 gigs of RAM. BUY NOW!
Try any game and i bet you could run it full spped! Very Great buy for the price. P.S make sure it fit this monster is huge!
I bought this card when it was $200, and It was a great buy. It runs company of heroes beautifully, the only thing is, that this card is massive, I would not suggest buying 3, since it barely fits inside my Apevia X-Plorer case. All together though, a great buy, and I would do it again.
This card was amazing... (when I got it for 209$) I feel so bad for people that wanted to get these cards and have to pay 300$ for them. I even remember when it was as low as 179 at one point... but a huge step up from my 7300 GT. Im also running this on a 425W PSU so it has a very low wattage
I got this card at 209$. That was a good deal with a great game inside too !! (not to forget the bonus !) the card rocks. I used to had a BFG 7950 GT OC it was always at 60 ceclius idle minimum, with no good airflow it would go to 70 idle. this is a normal temp for a high performance card. So when I hear people saying they find this 9800 running hot a 60 ceclius, I have doubt about their ability to judge it. A video card can easily support that temp, and your system is not affected by that in a way where it could be dangerous. Stop misleading other people please. This card is cool, much more cooler than I expected.
I am running this card on a Asus p5w dh deluxe (amazing) mobo and this card rocks !
