Very Pleased

This is a lot of computer, for the money. I did NOT buy this computer for gaming, so can't speak to that. However, it works great for my uses and I've had no problems. There was almost no useful documentation shipped with it, but I didn't need it. The only issue I had was that my monitor needed a VGA connection, but this computer has HDMI and DVI. However, my new monitor arrived a couple days later, so I could use HDMI. In the mean time I used my HDTV. The thing I disliked most about my previous desktop was how noisy it was. This Acer is very quiet! My other computers are all XP. I like Windows 7 quite a lot. All my software and hardware works EXCEPT my Sony DCR-TRV38 camcorder. So, I bought a new one that does work and will sell the old one.

Very good value for the money

This is the third Acer desktop computer I buy. Acer gives a lot for the price and the computer is really quiet. Gone are the days when I put together a computer..I also have bought 2 Acer laptops that work very well. I bought this desktop gaming computer for my son who is a gamer. He is very happy with the performance of the computer but swapped his better video card into the new Acer. The video card that comes with the computer is OK while you may want to upgrade the video card later. Acer does not have proprietary parts (like HP) so its easy to repair and upgrade.

Video did not display on delivery

Out the box the video wouldn't display through DVI or HDMI ports. Called Acer and recieved info to send into repair facility. Repaired (re-installed OS)and sent back a week and a half later been running fine. A little miffed that i had to send in for repair as i would think you would check computer is functioning before sending out for delivery but works great now.

Disapointment to Glee

My Predator arrived dead on arrival. Could not boot hard drive. Called customer service at 11:00PM and received a return authorization number. Went to sleep at 1:AM Waking up 3:30AM. Ureka rember old DOS non system boot. Opened the hood of the Predator. Either ACER forgot to attach the hard drive power and info cables or they became loose in transit. Placed cables on hard drive and the ACER is now functioning. Fingers crossed.
