Best processor under $150
If you don't plan on running multithreaded, CPU intensive applications, this CPU is for you. I've used these i3 processors for builds ranging from office workstations to entry level gaming computers. They simply rock! They are very responsive and don't get bogged down. Matched with the right video card, they will manhandle any game.

snappy little processor, love the lucid mvp. this feature shares load between onboard graphics and your card, I am getting 90fps on high settings in wow with a gtx550 ti and this processor!

Another great budget buy for first time PC builder
I got this CPU in a combo deal with an ASUS motherboard. I was a little bummed that it was only a dual core but I was on a budget for this was my first gaming PC build ever. But it turns out that the super awesome ASUS BIOS actually will allow you to open the other two remaining cores. Not sure how it worked or how it was done because it was done for me. Absolutely satisfied purrs like a kitten. Its very fast and very efficient. Ive had no problems at all.
