little lap top that can
I purchased this acer 5315 for under $300 and only expected it to be good enough for school and business work. I have had it over a year and just had the memoery expanded for $20. You would not beleive this thing and the featues it has. I recommend it to anybody for anything. I am so impressed that I am lacking in words. I have used the webcam for business webinars, I have speech reconition for dictating my microsoft word papers. I was on a tight budget. Acer support has been pretty good, but I would still say, Thank You ACER for such a great affordable little lap top. I asure you I do not work for nor am I affiliated or paid by ACER in anyway.

Bought it for my daughter for school and added two sticks of 1 gb of ram and it's great. The two stick of 1gb of ram cost me an extra 50.00 thru tiger. With 2 gb of ram there nothing she can not do....The screen is super big...buy it and enjoy it.....great for the money.....

A great laptop for the money. I am very pleased with the unit itself. I had a problem with the cursor skipping around, but I solved that. Go to the touchpad setup and and go to the tapping tab - click ''tapping off while typing''. After doing this the cursor has not skipped at all. Also I upgraded the ram to 2GB. One other feature I upgraded was the operating sytem to XP home. The machine flies. By the way I kept Vista on it by setting up dual boot capabilities.

The best purchase I've made online. Really thought this computer was going to be cheaply made and was totally surprised. You cannot go wrong purchasing this unit. Connects instantly to my wireless network with no problems. It is light weight but very durable. Would recommend to friends & family.

This is a great laptop for basic functions. But, like everyone else says, you need to upgrade your RAM to at least 2 gig in order to get the performance with VISTA (2 gig is the Max for this computer). The alternative is to load XP, but RAM is cheaper. The Monitor is beutiful!Either way, you can't beat the price!
