Works Good Until It Doesn't
I had this drive for about 2 and a half years but then it spontaneously started to self-brick (corrupted it's own sectors). This is the only drive I have ever owned that has done this, and it happens to be the only SG drive I have owned (I usually stick with West D, Hitchi, or Samsng). I have drives that are 6 to 7 years old that still work. This drive worked perfectly right up until a few days ago when it went to hell in exactly 12 hours. 2PM to 2AM, in between those points it was destroying itself. Probably will not buy another SG product.

Good deal for questionable hardrives
Just past the return window I began to get HD failure warnings for 1 of the 2 drives I purchased. I'm not surprised because of other similar reviews... I guess you get what you pay for in this case.

As always with Seagate, great drives. I bought two to put in a RAID 0 and they work perfectly.

Bought 5 for Raid, one DOA, another died during install of windows, a third died a week later. Returned all 5.
