Did not work
I tried to use the product to transfer files from a Windows Vista machine to a Windows 7 machine, but it did not work. The transfer cable came in a ripped plastic bag and it maybe that the item was actually a return.

Mixed
I used this to move programs from an XP Home laptop to a XP Pro desk top via ethernet. Worked fine for Wordperfect Suite, Norton System Works and MS Word Suite. Did not work for three Sony video & audio editing programs.

Did not work
I installed this product, and that part went well. However, it would not boot to the start page in order to use it. I returned the item.
