Good product; very loud fan
I bought this enclosure to replace the drive bays I was losing when switching from an old Mac Pro to a new Mac Mini. I have a 1 TB and a 2 TB drive in the enclosure, and turned JBOD off, so multiple volumes appear on the desktop. Drive installation was easy and the enclosure works fine, except for one thing: the fan is ridiculously loud in my quiet office. Especially next to the Mac Mini, which has an SSD and is almost completely silent. The enclosure is louder than my old Mac Pro! I ended up needing to buy a 10-meter active USB cable (it has a built-in repeater to handle the length) from Monoprice so I could put the enclosure in a closet and still have it connected to the Mini.

Easy to install! Mac Friendly
I was afraid I was going to have to reformat the hard drives I took from my PC that broke when I put them into this new enclosure. I will say that the fan, that always run when the console is on, can be a little loud but better a cool hard drive than warm... The two hard drives installed with ease, popped right up - EVEN ON MY MAC!!! Summary: Simple 2 bay enclosure, Great Product, little Nosy, only one connection, USB 2.0. and MAC Friendly.

Pretty much as advertised
Good buy, easy to access, nothing complicated about it. Works fine. Only slight negative is that the fan is loud.

Simple, reliable
Works great with two 1tb drives, never had a problem with it, use it for weekly backups with no issues.

Does what it supposed to do!!!
Nothing to say but that it works great, currently running 2x 1TB WD Green drives and no issues yet...
