not a usb-3 hub
works fine when connected to usb-2 port but does not work at all when connected to usb-3 port. Destroyed 2 usb-3 sticks and a usb-3 peripheral card.

Works, but not reliably with my USB 3.0 drive
Plugged it in and it was properly recognized as a USB 3.0 hub. Even after adjusting my Win7 64bit power settings, the hub does not work reliably with my Segate portable drives. I'm not sure what the problem may be. IOGear support was no help at all.

Looks nice but connectors are unreliable
This is the 2nd of this hub I've purchased. The first had a bad power supply and was returned. The second generates sporadic unprovoked disconnects of the drive(s), or they disconnect with even subtle movement of the cable(s). Obviously, if this occurs during data transfer the data is corrupted and the copied or moved file becomes useless or unreliable. The plugs do not insert all the way into the receptacles on the hub and leave a pronounced gap between the plug and the hub. This allows lateral movement that can result in a broken connection during handling when inserting or removing another cable. (On my laptop the plug goes in all the way in and is secure. The same is true of my older model hubs. The design of these short-socket receptacles appears to be poorly designed and unreliable.
