A resistive touchscreen panel is a technology composed of several layers, the layers that allow control of positioning are two thin, electrically conductive layers separated by a narrow gap. When your finger, presses down on a point on the panel's outer surface the two metallic layers come in contact at that point, and that location is sent to the device - to perform some action or move the cursor. Resistive touchscreens are reliable, but can only be used to control a single point at a time.
capacitive touchscreen panel consists of an insulator such as glass, coated with a transparent conductor such as indium tin oxide (ITO). Since the human body is also an electrical conductor, touching the surface of the screen results in a distortion of the screen's electrostatic field, measurable as a change in capacitance. Different technologies may be used to determine the location of the touch. The location is then sent to the device to be interpreted. Unlike a resistive touchscreen, capacitive requires contact with your finger - it is much more flexible and precise, but you can't use it with gloves, though you can use a capacitive stylus if the device supports them. Capacitive touchscreens also support multi-touch operations that let you perform more complex tasks with a single action.

This is for my grandson & is just the right size. I will be rooting it for access to Google play. Excellent starter tablet.

Works Great For What It Is
I didn't expect a $600 tablet and I didn't get one. That being said, it seems to do just fine. Seems speedy enough and I installed GooglePlay and now have access to everything through that outlet. I'm happy with it for what I wanted, which was just an extra toy with Android (just to get familiar with it). We are iPhone people and I just wanted to see what Android had to offer. Achos Arnova
Excellent little tablet, fast, needed to be upgraded to Android 4.1 to have a USB Keyboard adapter. Comparable and exceeds a more expensive model.

First tablet, not at all unhappy
This was my first tablet purchase. Like the layout of the device, I am happy with the android software, not as smooth or as functional as a windows OS, but still pretty good for email, a few games, some web surfing. This is not a powerful platform, or made for high end apps. But good for what I use it for.

pretty decent
I purchased 2 of these for my kids for bday presents. I have a kindle fire which is what I compare this too. I like the android platform as there are more apps than web has available. The only negative I could say about the tablet would be that the screen resolution is not nearly as good as the kindle. I'd buy another one for 90 bucks though.
