I use this for my workhorse and is preforms nicely. 931GB, 3 hr full format, windows xp sp2 easy to install. I've used up 865GB of this drive with no problems or issues. The cooler you keep this drive, the longer it will last. But everybody knows that.

I bought this drive a little before Christmas. It has been great. (So far) Also airheads, hard drives are man made. Keep a back up!

This is a good and as of the time of this review a reliable drive, I have had it hammering my Solid Works 08 Sp.4 and UG NX5 modeling almost non stop for 2 months. Unlike the idiot below, I know that a drive no matter who makes it is just a piece of electronic hardware with the means to fail at any time. BACK UP YOUR DATA BONEHEAD. The only person you can blame for loosing 500GB of data and lets see ''including some irreplaceable graphic design proofs'' is YOU.

I bought two of these about 6 mos ago and put them in a new media center PC that I built. I used the Antec aluminum coolers (with fans & LCD data screen) at each drive (external drive bays utilized). These drives were not set-up in RAID, but still perform very well for my media needs. They have never went above 38 C and usually remain at 35C all day long with relatively light activity. I haven't experienced any issues with either drive. Best HDs that I've ever owned.
