strong form better typing angle

Nice, no-frills passive platform.
I bought this to replace a thermaltake usb-powered platform with a gigantic fan but finicky power switch that had disintegrated on me. Fed up, I wanted to try a passive platform and chose this guy. It works - keeps my laptop room temp or less and the laptop's fan only puffs every 5 minutes or so. And it's comfortable when resting on my lap. The other guy made good on their warranty and replaced the power cord, so now I alternate the 2 platforms. Both have their pros and cons. Word to the wise, if choosing the thermatake, go with the BUTTON power switch instead of the one with the switch attached to the power cord.

NOT FOR 17 INCH LAPTOPS
This appears to be an excellent product, but it doesn't work well with my 17 inch Alienware. The product is a bit too small both in length and width. This allows the laptop, when opened, to be top heavy so to speak and easily tip over backwards. One has to be careful. It is unfortunate that Alsop doesn't make a larger model for the larger laptops. The cooling of the laptop and keeping the heat off the knees seems to work well.

Great Product
I bought two of these laptop platforms and they easily do a great job of keeping things flowing properly and without the noise of other types. Plus the platform has a nice angle that helps with using the laptop. And these should last pretty much forever.
