WARINING: DO NOT BUY. I GAVE THIS TO MY WIFE. IT HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO LOCATE A SATILITE TO DATE. MIO WILL HAVE YOU ON HOLD FOR HOURS.

DO not buy thsi gps. First of all the direction it gives u is way out of the route. You need the new updates to get a newer map and i will cost u 25 dollar more and I never receivd my update yet. Buy a garmin c340, it's much better unit that this crap. Also mio has no support at all. |

1) Yes the Mio support is not up to par.
2) There are many other sources that can get you information for upgrading/unlocking this unit. Search on the NET and you'll be surprised at what you find.
3) I also had old stuff on mine and was told by Mio there was nothing they can do. I searched and now I have the latest program/maps and am actually watching DIVX movies with awesome quality.
4) In my book this is a cheap WINCE machine.

This is the second GPS unit I've bought (I cracked the screen of my first), and I've had nothing but good experience with my MIO C310x.
It boots quickly, has a clear bright display, locks on to satellites within a minute, never crashes, has good battery life when I take it out of the car and has accurate maps of my area (Seattle).
I haven't tried the updated maps yet, but I will soon. Also easily hackable to get full media player functionality. |

The service from MIO is not acpet able. The map data is old, and update cost about $15 plus shipping. The software seach engineine has problem, but MIO said that because data is too old. MIO don't want tod any customer service. Don't buy it. |
