The Auzen X-FI Prelude 7.1 soundcard marks the first time Creative has permitted a third-party soundcard vendor to use the Creative X-FI chipset in its own soundcard design. All the power, forget $1000 headphones
Value: Expensive, but extremely good sound, and this is coming from an audiophile. Yes, I bought this, and I had low expectation for this, but instead, it blew them away. Features: Not just computer speakers can use this, but a PC home stereo or band equipments can use this too! For gaming, you can hear everything, even on crappy headphones! Quality: Not defective, and sound quality is AMAZING. No MP3 player can beat this, add EQ and hell expensive headphones, you will go straight to heaven. If you have a mic, you will sound fantastic even on $30 dollar mics. Best on Gaming! Performance: No problems, no fuzzy sounds, no static. Perfect. If you are planning to make the BEST audio system or non-portable MP3 player of 2009, this sound card will kill it. I bought the UE11's and compared it with the motherboard integrated audio, this sound card, the Zune HD and the iPod Touch, this sound card had the best quality, hands down.

This sound card, when it comes to listening to music or playing a game, is simply superb. Sadly, the line-in microphone jack is crap. It seems AuzenTech decided to inform people that using a line-in mic, in combination with this sound card, is a bad idea... after a lot of people complained about it. Overall, it is still a great soundcard - I just wish I didn't have to jump through so many hoops just to get my headset mic to work right (and not be horribly garbled or not loud enough for others to hear my voice, despite picking up just fine).

I got this card recently. This card whips my old Audigy 2 Platinums butt and is well worth the money. However, be prepared for a possible small bump in the road. I had an issue loading the drivers from the disc. After checking around, I found that several people had the same issue. The installation will hang on the driver install (didnt seem to be OS specific either, but Im running XP with all updates). The fix is to simply go to the Auzentech website and download the latest driversimple if you have high speed that is. The driver set is 226mb. The newer drivers loaded in seconds and a reboot later Im listening to some great sound. I cant stop listening to music now. Recording is also out of this world.

Only problem with this PCI sound card is that i cant get the SoundMAX SuperBeam to work (Mic). Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit
